The pump is online and plumbed with 1.5" PVC from outlet to tank. Nothing on the inlet right now. I like how the wavelines have the different flow settings. I am gradually moving up the flow and checking all the dependencies along the way.

I am thinking that, with my small return section, that I can use the 1" bulkhead that I am no longer using, to maybe plumb a second return chamber. I can connect the two with 1" PVC and can essentially double my volume, if I make the second chamber the same size. Its not ideal, but it will help. I'm getting some microbubbles out of the return right now (a 45 right below the water line), but I'm thinking that will go away with the maturation of the return pipe.

On another note, what a quiet pump! Submersed, it is not even audible. I didnt even know it was on until I saw my water level go up. I like the multiple flow rates as well, lets me get a better understanding of my system...mostly the overflow.

Thank you all again for your help, I will keep you posted with my progress.

If you decide to expand your return section (a good idea) you need them to be essentially the same body of water. A 1" connection will be insufficient to accomplish that, especially with no gravity advantage. You would want multiple connections between the two, the larger the better.
