Diy sump

I have a aqueon 14 gallon tank laying around ( same dimensions as a 10gallon but taller) and want to make it into a sump for my 55. The first chamber is a BRS Filter sock mount with my heater and the second chamber my reef octopus nwb110(10.1x6inches) and a pump for my BRS media reactor. My final chamber is a return pump and my auto top (which is either jbj or aquascape or if I have money Tunze oslmolatior) [recommendations plz]. What dimesions should i make the sump.... Thanks for your help

I've had good results with an ATO from autotopoff. The downside is that it doesn't come with a pump.

I use JBJ with aqua lifter pump. Do u have room for a larger sump 14g pretty small for 55 I try to fit the largest sump possible on my tanks. U can still use the 14g as an ATO reservoir

Right now.... I can't go any bigger . But when I upgrade my tank to let's say 125 I'm gonna use the 55 asa sump and 14 gallon as a fuge. But for now it's gonna have to work out and I'm gonna get the jbj ato because simply put the price and you say the aqualifter pump is adequate
