og bounce questions

so I i have a og bounce about 50 cent piece size and I was wondering if that was good growth from buying it dime size in April.

I also have a guy who wants to buy a frag of it and i have never fragged it. Ive heard cut down the middle but then I lose half of it and I am not giving a guy half for only $125 so is there any way to cut it in like a triangle or pizza slice shape and be successful?

OG, original Gangster. For bounces, specifically the one Originally from World Wide Corals.

Not one I'd frag if I wasn't comfortable cutting corals, personally.

Note this will take a long time to turn into a frag, but if you slice a piece of the foot. Every three days making sure your cut does not grow back together by separating on the cut with blade. After a couple weeks it should be separated enough to cut with a saw blade. It will be just foot for the first month, but will slowly start to get color. A few months later you will see Yellow and Orange dots and should be dime size within another few months. I have lost a few do to them coming off and getting lost, but about a 80% Success rate.

You could cut it in half, in 2 weeks cut the smaller of the 2 in half again and end up with 2 frags to sell within a month for more instant gratification.

If you are trying to make multiple Jawbreakers I have a little trick, point a Kessil 160 at it directly, may want to acclimate to the light for a few days, as you turn up intensity it will move away from the light leaving a snail track of foot as it moves. I ended up with 10 babies the last time I moved mine.

Bounces are my favorite coral and are pretty easy to grow and frag. I saw a large Rock with 20 on it last year in a friends tank and it looks amazing. I have been cutting mine in half every 6 weeks and working on making my own Bounce Rock.

Good luck!

It’s a mushroom, in a few years you’ll be cussing because you have 1000 of them taking over worth 1/2cent each.
