I don't think it's in trouble, but it does look a little upset at the moment. How long have you had it for? Has anything changed recently?
It might just be getting ready to shed. They'll do this from time to time to cleanse themselves of algae growth, detritus etc. |

It looks like something took a bit out of it, that's what is concerning me. Look at top right of coral...

Leathers are like my ex wife... Good one second, then bam... ****ed for no apparent reason. They do that and it's normal so I think yours is fine

You might run carbon if you aren't already: leathers are good about emoting into the water, never dreaming that in a closed tank, goes around comes around.

Could be a bite. What fish are in the tank? Could have been at attachment point. Does it look hollow at that spot or is there firm flesh?

After looking at this last picture I would definitely give the coral more flow. Just find a spot where the currents are the most chaotic and place it there. Once it's secure just leave it alone for at least a month and see how it responds.

Thank you!!! I moved the leather up higher, where lighting and glow is much better, seems to be opening this.

The leather is doing much better higher in tank with more lighting and flow.
