White section on uropods?

My 4-5" Peacock has a white coloration to the upper part of his uropods. It looks to my uneducated eye to be left over shell from a previous molt. I have seen this in various photos. What is this?

As Peacocks grow with each molt you might see some expansion to the white area on the upper portion of the uropods. This is completely normal as far as I can tell. My Peacock looked exactly the same.
