ID? Bubbles growing on Acan

Noticed a few weeks ago that there was bubbles growing on one of my Acan colonies? Seems healthy and still eating but don't know if there's a reason for these or not.

I don't think I've ever heard a solid answer as to why these bubbles occur, but it might be a form of reproduction.

I have heard its a reproductive response to damage. Something wounds the coral and it forms a bud of tissue that could become a new colony.

Interesting, i have had this happen as well and hope some others here on the forum can give some answers.

it dose not looks harmful, if you are worry try to dip in revive
as long as it is eating I think it will be OK
