Don't be surprised at a total brown out on all your Acro's and a 20% loss is normal. I wish you the best at killing those AEFW. It is doable.

All corals and fish moved out of the SPS tank, clean up in progress:

Everyone seems pretty happy in the hospital tank:

Perfect time to fix any and all issues you had before the tear down. Use it wisely. Glad everyone is doing well.

Thanks for the support! I soaked all the plastic rock in vinegar and it's like it's brand new! Here is what I have to work with:

Now I need to re-combine into a new scape using epoxy - the plan will be to keep the height lower and have less places where the scape touches the bottom.

Very clever way to hide the sand container. I really like the scape too. How are you treating for the space worms?

Space worms? Those sound scary!! The flat worms are being treated by dipping the corals, though only about 5 corals had any worms on them when I moved them to the garage. All the base has been cut off of any that had even one flatworm.

Thanks Josh, not a lot going on lately here until this garage tank and rebuild. You haven't missed much

The initial scape is done, waiting on more epoxy to finish it. I'm pretty happy with it. I may make a small second island to accompany it:

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I mocked up a little island with two other pieces of rock, I think that this will be the extent of the scape:

krazysvede, I got the rock through an e-bay retailer, I think it was Atlantis Aquariums or something similar. It's painted resin and up close its indistinguishable from real live rock. Obviously it serves no biological purpose, but it is great as a base for corals and is much more configurable than real live rock.

Yep, water has been in for just under a week. The hospital tank was doing great at first but between alkalinity and Salinity swings it was way too unstable and I started losing acros. I finally made the decision to speed up moving fish and corals back, at the rate it was going the hospital tank was inflicting more casualties than the flatworms ever did.

When I initially removed acros from the tank, only a couple showed any flatworms. Any that were suspect went in the trash, and I re-dipped everything before moving it back to the SPS tank. Most of the corals are residing on the bottom for now, and I will observe them for signs of pests. A few corals that I am confident in have been glued to the scape. Several corals are just resting on the scape for now.

I went back to two 6 bulb fixtures over the shallow tank. 12 bulbs is plenty for such a shallow tank. My mix at the moment is 4 blue, one purple, and one neutral white bulb per fixture. I am hoping to put AIO biopellets on line tomorrow once the new impeller arrives for my pump. The tank looks kind of ugly for now, but It will shine again

I have similar issues with pests and am also the process of moving sps out of tank, into a qt tank and plan to do tank transfer dipping until I can be sure to be rid of pests.

Finding pests can be so deflating!!

That purple stylo. How these things can create that much rock that fast is astounding.

I hope things continue to go well!
