Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate that! I have a lot of fun watching him devour chunks of squid. Can't wait to see him at 100%

Beautiful nem, and you've done a great job with recovery!

Just be super careful as he gets healthier. I'd love to have one, but as others have mentioned (and I've been told many many times by owners of beautiful anemones) is that they'll eat all of your fishes eventually, even tangs and other "there's no way he could catch them" fishes.

Might want to start planning out a separate frag/nem tank or something. Just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm keeping a sharp eye on him. If things turn ugly I'll have anoher reason to finally start my second tank

Monday update coming soon. For now, he's a cool timelapse video of it pushing off some sand this morning.

He is bleached but otherwise healthy. Hope he will regain his zooxanthellae for you.

Got caught up at the car dealership today, had to get the wife a mommy mobile. Of course that turned into a 7 hour ordeal so I got home right before the lights shut off.
Monday update will have to be a Tuesday update.

Is the current coloration progress any indicator thar zooxanthellae may be regaining or at least possible.

Is the color I see now not zooxanthellae? It was stark white when I got it, didn't see any color as seen in the first photo.

When they regain zooxanthellae, you will start to see brown/yellow "dirty spots" on the tentacles. This will quickly spread though out the anemone.

That is great to hear! Yesterday morning and the other day I was saying that he looked a little dirty in random spots. I thought I had kicked up some sand dust or something and it stuck to him.
I hope what I was seeing was the zooxanthellae coming back!

Now this is getting exciting.

Waiting for the halides to come on this morning so I can take an update shot.

Tuesday update.

I think you can see in these photos to slight brown tinge that orion was talking about.
Snails are cramping his territory today. Is it bad that I want to see him swallow a turbo snail and spit out an empty shell?

Growing steadily. Eating great. Tonight it will be getting another chunk of squid. I'm giving him the "feed 2 days, skip 1 day, feed 2 days, skip 1 day..." routine and he seems to be loving it!
These photos are halide only

And this was from this morning with halides and actinics on.

Back shot with halides and actinics

Just noticed in the last picture above, you can see how well he has buried his foot. Sand is almost completely around his body.

Thanks!!

Here's a night shot. Crappy lighting from my Dewalt flashlight. Moonlights aren't bright enough for my phone camera to pickup.

Night form, and notice his body is directed completely towards the bottom glass and surrounded by sand

I got a little overzealous with the feeding last night. Gave him a large chunk of squid a little bigger than a raffle ticket but as thick as a piece of applewood bacon . This morning I woke up to find the piece halfway digested in the hands of my coral banded shrimp who is shoving it in his face. I could have sworn the anemone had eaten a piece of similar size before but I'll be more careful and just stick with something about half the size of that piece

Monday update.
All seems well still. He has scooched over a tad bit away from the corner. Hopefully he doesn't venture much further than that.
Recently went through a small cyano breakout. Think it was from heavy feeding trying to get my Copperband comfy and fat. All seems well.

He's moved himself to the center of the glass. Hasn't moved much since, but he is looking great. Color today is amazing.
I hope it's not moving into "fish capturing" location.

That's no actinics of course. 20k hqi halides only. Looks like that zooxanthellae is creeping back

He's really looking good. So, are their some clowns in his future?

I have a single snowflake clown. Been waiting to get my wife to the lfs to pick out a little clown for him ton pair up with.

Quite annoying that he has chosen the patch of pink and gold palys on the opposite side of the tank to be his host.
I've been trying to figure out how to get him away from the palys and over by the nem.
I was also think maybe if I got him anot her clown, they would find the nem.

Thanks for the compliments as well.
