SPS Colonies Growing on the Glass

I'm starting up a 28 gallon Deep Blue rimless SPS reef and am considering going bare on the bottom to maximize flow. I think that it would also be cool to grow some colonies on the bottom glass and along the wall. Sorry if already posted but I'd love to see some photos of your colonies growing on the glass, just for some ideas.

Look the center/ left of the tank back wall. Purple Monti and then an orange one (don't remember name)

How do you get it started on the glass? I wouldn't think leaving a magnet there permanently would be good. Won't that leach metals into your water eventually? There was someone on here that had a red planet that encrusted onto the glass. It put out a huge base before growing out, like dinner plate huge. Was really cool.

My plan is to have ~18 4-6" colonies in my new 28 gallon Deep Blue rimless. I don't plan to use sand so I can utilize the bottom glass, the side walls (except the front), and the overflow. Hopefully it doesn't look too chaotic!

Im a fisherman, so everything naturally gets bigger when I tell stories. Same reason all of my fish that get away are always the biggest.

I've been using gel super glue in combination with coral putty. I mount all new frags to small plugs and cut off the end. Flat plug will give you a larger surface for gluing. Works great for me.
