zeovit bacteria ? Same bacteria as carbon dosing?

I carbon dose
Been doing it for years. I sometimes reboot the main pump a few mins to flush the white strains of bacteria out of the pipes.

My fish seems to eat it and my sps will expand to feed on it.

So I was wondering if it's the same shaking up the zeovit rocks ?
Maybe my sps just trying to feed since there is particulate matter in the water.

Either way doesn't seem harm anything.

The Zeovit rocks might put out the same organic stream, but I'd be a bit worried about abrading them. Are they fairly sturdy? I've never used them.

Well, I'd be careful about rolling them around too much, but if they're reasonably sturdy, there probably wouldn't be much damage.

I don't know what other if any specialized bacteria would grow on zeovit or what's in the supplements zeovit systems use but organic carbon is organic carbon and is consumed by heterotrophic bacteria that colonize surfaces but have plnaktonic presence whether they grow on zeovit or other surfaces.

So I got some of the Zeovit bacteria starter.
Does it suppose to smell like vinegar? Most except the sponge power smells like vinegar
