Prazi pro for black ich

I have dosed my display with prazi pro after some black spots have shown up on my yellow tang. I have used the recommended dose every three days and it’s three days after the third treatment. He still has the spots and they are progressively getting worse. I have my skimmer off to keep it from messing with the effectiveness of the meds. I am going to do a big water change tonight (probably 50%). Should I do another round of prazi and double the dosage this time? The fish is acting fine and eating well but I am nervous about him declining rapidly if this doesn’t get knocked out soon. Any help would be great!

prazipro should have treated it. usually two treatments a week apart is all thats needed. can you do a 5 min fw dip and see if some fall off? This should give some temporary relief as well.
If prazi doesnt work you might have to resort to formalin.

I let the tank sit without doing a water change as I had planned and I have noticed less black spots on the yellow tang this morning. I am going to do a big water change this weekend and see if it returns. I’m not sure why it took so much/long for the prazipro to take effect. If I don’t see a change in black spots I’ll definitely try a fw dip. I’m just not a fan of catching that tang. 😂

I would do another round in 7 days. Make sure you are shaking the bottle very well before you use it.
