Ruby head wrasse won't come out of hiding

So I've had this fish for close to 3 years. Been in different tanks. He's always been the boss and about 3 inches. Currently in a 36 bowfront alone.

He won't come out to eat. Stays in hiding. Doesn't even come out to eat even. I keep feeding but thinking he is just biting on food that floats by.

Doesn't look sick. Doenst look emaciated.

I'm kind of at a loss.

I've considered putting him in another tank, my jbj 45, just to see if he would come out with other teammates around. Just a pair of snowflakes clowns in there.

All tests are good. No ammonia or nitrites. No detectable nitrates. No clue what's going on

How longs he been in the new tank?
I had a wrasse disappear on me for 14 days straight... Thought he was a goner.. The out of the blue he shows up.

Possibly just acclimatising to new tank?

Mine is also a bully and doesn't seem fearful of anything. It's never gone missing though. Is there a new fish addition recently? Do you have any stray voltage perhaps? How are the other fish acting?

Any update on your wrasse? Did he come back out eventually? Mine is the boss 4-5 inches and two years in same tank under same conditions. He has disappeared for a couple days now and I saw him once he was squished between my cap colony and the overflow. I’m not sure what to think all else is completely normal.

Thanks for any help in advance..
