5 gallon

Hi I'm starting a 5 gallon reef tank.I want one small fish once it's cycled,any suggestions?

Damsel perhaps, their dorsal spikes are great to look at up close and they are rather aggressive so if you can pick one that does not shy away from the glass, it should be able to feel safe there.

I don't like playing too much with wild caught fish, a tank raised damsel might be the thing, although...i have no idea if damsels are industrially farmed by now I would guess so.

I have heard of too many gobys disappearing down in a hole and only show themselves during feeding to choose that unless it's going into a wonderful community tank where it won't matter as much that it does so.

I know a LFS who had one polymnus clown in a 5g long for many years, never put anything else in with it though.

Remember clowns jump a lot though & they are honestly most active in the morning and evening, I think damsels are more of an active swimmer if you wanna sit and look at it all the weekend or stuff like that.
