Having problems with radions and ecosmart live

I have 3 radion gen 3s I'm trying to setup. I downloaded the manager and they recognize my radions. I tried resetting them to factory settings and I still can't see them on ecosmart live.

When I click on the aquarium setup tab, nothing happens. I tried powering down all the radions and unplugging everything and still nothing works.

Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Do you have a reef link?

Are you still plugged into radion via a usb?

Nick,

If you factory reset all of your devices, you will need to add them back into your profile. To do so, please select the "Devices" tab then "Add device via wireless".

When I click on "devices", it's blank. Nothing happens. I played with it for about 2 hours and couldnt get it. I'm pretty good with computers and usually figure things out by reading other people's fixes online. But I read and read and couldn't find a solution to my problem.

No reeflink, I have a WXM for my apex. My plan was to use that.

I would just call support in the afternoon and they will get you squared away.

I'd also check your antivirus. I had the EXACT same issue. Aquarium setup button/link would do absolutely nothing. Ended the process for my antivirus (trendmicro) and it started working. I think they said ESL uses port 8080, so anything blocking that will mess up ESL.

As good as Ecotech support's may be, they simply aren't open/available at times that are convenient (as in after work and on weekends) to most people.

Nick,

Did you leave a voicemail? We always call back within 24 hours? Additionally, there are no calls waiting at the moment.

I shut down all my anti virus. I read that somewhere, didn't work.

I figured there is no point in leaving a voicemail, if you call me back and I'm at work, there's nothing you can do to help me. :/

Had problems with another ecotech product, and ran into the same exact problems. Never could get ahold of anyone.

Maybe I missed it earlier, but are your Radions connected to your PC with the usb cord? I'm pretty sure unless you have a Reeflink connected Ecosmartlive won't be able to find any of your devices wirelessly.

Yes. I had all 3 radions turned on, and I had 1 of them plugged into my computer via USB cable. That is what the directions said.
Said something like:
Power on all radions, then plug in one with USB cable.

Have you tried the old software at all? I program mine with it bc like you I had problems with live. I'm not too sure you can use live without reef link and it actually work right. I didn't have success until I bought a reef link and now it's all good.

Nick,

Contacting us directly is the best way to receive assistance. Additionally, I realize you work the same hours as us, but email support is always a good option as well.

Ive noticed quite a few browser issues while programming my xr15 pro's. I had to close down all browsers and restart the connection app from ecosmart to get them to pick back up again.

If all else fails, reboot the computer, try a different browser. I see you are using chrome- I had to bounce around into firefox to get it to work one time. (I had issues on 3 different computers.) 2 apple computers and 1 windows machine. And I am an IT professional.

I guess I could try firefox. Tried IE and
Chrome, both did the exact same thing.

I wish they just offered a program you could download. After spending 2 thousand dollars i expected more. Radions are still in their boxes after having them for a month because I can't program them. A cheap Chinese fixture would already be up and running. Hahah funny how that works.

I hooked my lights up to the computer today- it notified me that they did an update- Things appear to be MUCH more stable now.

I TRIED to break the connection and gork it up- but couldnt. Let me know if its behaving better for you too- maybe I was just lucky.

You did add all the radions to your (virtual)"aquarium" setup right? Thats pretty much the only way they will link.

I saw the button, but nothing happened when I pressed it. After 2 hours, I literally pressed every button on ecosmart live and nothing happened. It would change between a few screens, but no where would it recognize my radions.

I'm prolly gunna be stuck at work a little late today. But if i have some spare time, maybe I will try. Maybe it was a screw up on ecotechs side. I just don't get it. When you spend a premium for a product, it should work the first time EVERY time!

Ummm...call them and stay on hold until someone picks up? I know it suck, but hold times are just the way it is these days. I was on hold with AT&T for 30 minutes the other day. I just put my phone on speaker and go about my business until someone pick up.

Also, I don't think you can use ecosmartlive and the WXM for your apex at the same time. Just one or the other. Have you tried linking your lights to the WXM with these instructions: https://www.neptunesystems.com/downl...tructions1.pdf
