No , they only nip at rocks . Many friends of mine have this fish too and is not nipping at any corals in their tank too.

Today my flame hawk ate my cleaner shrimp The cleaner shrimp was in my tank for 3 years

That's not good!

I had an apstia problem in my last tank so I bought 3 peppermint shrimps. As soon as they hit the water BANG! The hawk got them all!

The Flame Hawkfish is beautiful, but will eat hermit crabs, snails, and

ornamental shrimps.

Thanks for letting me know. Lost a lot of snails lately , but didn't had idea that it was the flame hawk.
