The side lighting does NOT come with the light unless it is another model.

What do you mean by side lighting? The unit includes the wings.

I think Canada got a different version than the US did. The RSX looks like a reshaped Razor.

There seems to be 2 different fixtures from Maxspect that look very similar that I think are confusing everyone. The first being the next generation Razor X and the Recurve with the articulating LED strips on the sides.

Is the recurve avalible anywhere? only see the new rsx avalible to purchase. Silly they would make two almost identicle lights , one with side adajustable lighting and one without.
remeber when kessil first showed off their prototype new light in 2012 ( now ap700) took almost 4 yrs to be a reality

Nothing on coralvues website with anything to do with the recurve, only the new razor x. According to my supplier they went ahead with the x series and not the recurve. Trying to confirm as i have had two orders of the razor x so far and no mention of another light. Wonder if they had a change of heart, or if something is holding them up.

The Maxspect Recurve will be available the first week of January 2018.
