Ocellaris clown getting black dots!
Hi everyone,
Today I noticed one of my clown fish has a bunch of black dots. It hasn’t really been eating much in the past week or so. I’ve had it for about a month. Is this normal or is it black ich?! Thanks! |

My orange has black freckles and has since I've had it, can you get a pic of it?

A pic would help.
Do you have an anemone? If so, little spots from touching the anemone are normal.

Black spots on orange clowns CAN be a normal melanin reaction to environmental conditions, but it could also be something known as "black ich" (actually a turbellarian flat worm and no relation to the common, white saltwater ich (Crypto)).
An image search for black ich will pretty much let you know if you have this or not. Kevin
