Be aware that its very unlikely that the color you see on your monitor is unlikely to represent real life (physically being there) color rendition..
So if you expect to be able to judge the color of corals,etc... from the light I would give that up..
If you just want to see how the actual light itself looks (not the light it gives off) then fine..

Very Nice, have you thought about using stainless steel cables as supports? Also Caddy makes a support that clips around your grid therefore your supports are hidden above the tile, versus making holes in the tile?

I prefer the look of the chain over cable

How long is your tank? I have a 64" tank and i'm going back and forth between 3 or 4 lights before I order. I know that as per the manufacturer even 2 should cut it...

Tank is 11.5ft long by 3ft wide by 3ft deep. My Orpheks have 60 degree lenses to get all the way down to the sand at 37" of water. The stock Orpheks come with 120 degree lenses so you would get twice the spread I do with mine. As long as you dont have crazy depth, I'd go with 2 units and maybe a couple of their OR light bars to take care of shading from your rock work.

I have same depth, but 8 feet long and 42 inch wide. Did you measure Par ratings on the bottom. Just wondering. I'm looking for Led too

I've never measured par. Haven't felt the need to. I have about 120 SPS colonies at this point, all over the tank. From about 6" under the surface to the sand bed...all growing like crazy with great colors.

That's great news. I had GHL Mitras before, and had to go back to MH. I think it's time for LED.
Thanks

Hi, I did just the opposite, the LED lights are not plug and play though, so it will take a little time to get them dialed in. The Mitra's are so much nicer then any M/H lamp and fixture, I ever used.
