Show me your German Blue Polyp Acropora!

I've had a colony for a while now and it's been through hell with me. I've been learning how to care for Acropora the last couple years and i'm getting better at it. Anyway my favorite Acro is the GBP. My colony is recovering from bleaching. So in the mean time can I see yours?

Thanks

I want pictures, and wish I knew someone locally down south here who had some, cause it's one of my favorite ORAs ever. Too bad they don't sell them any more....

Anyway, let the pics commence!

I've got a 4" colony that's coloring up but it's 2-3 months from looking like it should if it even pulls through, "fingers crossed".

I have a relatively large frag, probably about 3" or so that I've had for over a year and it just hasn't done anything for me...I'm kind of disappointed to be honest. It is an ok looking coral but as of now it's just taking up real estate

I heard ORA lost their GBP colony. Any truth to that? Too bad if they did, cause I'd really love to get my hands on a frag. No local reefers have one.

Here is a shot of the top of mine - it is probably 4-5" and is encrusting really well.

Gasman - Is the browning normal on these? I am currently battling a nitrate issue and the top of mine has started to brown a bit. What caused yours to do that, or do they naturally brown sometimes or is it just a nutrient issue?

Its finnicky at best- depends od lighting. IME it easily browns out with param issues but very strong coral.

I've had mine for about 2 years and it hasn't grown much at all. All of my other corals grow pretty well except that one. I like it though so it can stay.

I spoke to someone there a couple months ago, and they said
this rumor is not true. They had some problems, but still have
this coral.

God bless you! Thanks. I'm still keeping me fingers crossed that mine pulls through. It's light brown and it won'd extend it's polyps.

I'm target feeding with Phyto and Reef Chili every two days. It is showing some green pigment coming back but it's a small amount and most of the coral looks like crap now.

Again thanks for the pics.

Sorry, I was under the impression it was one of their older corals that they offer?

LOL Kangym..

How many times did you try to post that in the last 24 hours?? I got a email for every one of them

dont feel bad...the same thing happened to me a couple opf days ago when tring to respond to somebodys question.........I think I gave up after 5 tries........but after seeing you try so many times it hit me that everyone subscribed to the thread I kept failing at posting in....was most likely getting an email as well

anyway...nice coral....back to the original programming.......

Oh yeah. I got home last night to a very full email inbox. At first I thought...wow, there's been a lot of activity on RC tonight. Then I quickly realized RC had gone all wonky, because there were multiple email notifications, but no new posts.

Anyway, as you said, back to the original programming.

No wonder I got at least a dozen of emails yesterday. Something must show off....., so I kept on trying and trying.... and trying...... well, I gave up at last.

Mine does the exact same thing, no idea why. It's like the most exposed-to-light areas turn light tan....

I'll try moving it, since it has looked better before in my tank...
