Yeah he's become one of my favorites in the tank now! Although I fear I will never have crystal clear water again. He digs alll day long so sand is constantly entering the water column

Does he dig just in one spot - my diamond goby is methodically working his way across the tank and I notice when he is back at places he's already been there is very little "dust up" that comes off unless I have the power heads on high, it just dumps right back down.

His burrow is about 12 inches long in the middle island of my tank, he has about 5 different openings which he opens and closes throughout the day.

What's reefing if there's no problems to over come right?!?
Well after doing a water change I somehow unplugged my heater for at least 18 or so hours haha ooooops anyways water dropped to the low 60s before I caught it. Aftermath was pretty bad lost some corals and now battling a cyano outbreak pretty much my whole sandbed got covered in 2 days!! Anyways reduced feeding going about half the normal feeding every2-3 days also busted out a series of 5g changes over the last 4 days. Going to do a ten gallon change tomorrow let that settle for 4 days then bust out another 5g change. Also adding another small powerhead towards the sand to get alittle more movement. Well that's my rant for the day!

Oh man - I didn't realize it got that low! I'm sure it's frustrating when things were looking so good! Good luck with the cyano and keep us updated on how things are going.

Maintenance business
Good news started a maintenance business and we just got our first client, a sushi restaurant! The tank was soooo bad I've been working one it before work everyday for 4 hours and it is still a mess. It is well established but that comes with alot of problems. Skimmer litterally has never been cleaned... But over all I'm excited and my client even said I can't believe what you have down with the tank in in 4 days

Nice got A few new zoas today including some watermelons and fire and ice pics up soon. Everything in the tank is doing good besides a batch of montipora that took the heater problem pretty bad.

Well something is eating my zoas as far as I can tell it is the astreia(spelling?) starfish, I've been watching the last couple of days and I'm no expert but these starfish seem to be just sitting on top of my zoas until the disappear. I've looked for other culprits a but can't find any. So I started the manual removal of these guys, within 5 minutes tonight I pulled out 30 wow that's alot maybe it's just a huge population and the next food source is the zoas!?
