Best 2-bulb T5 combo for macro algae
Title states my question. I just got a 2-bulb t5 light to replace my 2-bulb t8 light over my refugium. I currently have a 8000K and a 4200K t8 over the tank. The macro does well, but now that I have a new light I'm considering different kelvin ratings.
I've been considering between the GE 3000K, GE 6500K, 10K etc. I feel like a 6500K and 3000K in combo would work great, but seeing if anyone else specializing with algal displays has any input. Thanks!

It depends on which macro that you are growing. Fast growing macro in shallow water would favor the red and yellows in the 3000 kelvin light. The deep water macros that are red, like the blue light. With florescent bulbs, both 3000 kelvin and 6500 kelvin have blue spectrum in them.
