UPLC-II not filling.

I've had the UPLC-II up and running for several months without issue. We recently moved to a new house and when I set the tank back up, I ran into an issue with the UPLC-II.

When I first plugged it in (into my Apex 2016 with the outlet set to Always On), the UPLC-II started pumping RODI water into the sump. It did not matter where the Sensor Tube was placed. If I raised the Float Switch up, it was kill the power as designed.

I thought maybe the UPLC-II just need to be reprogrammed, so I followed the manual to set it up to Fill mode with the minimal difference level ( pressed the Up button directly after pressing the Down button). I also set the ON time to 100%. Now the UPLC-II shows a flashing red RUN/Low light as it should, but now it will not pump any water at all. It does not matter where the Sensor Tube or Float Switch is at.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Two things come to mind.

Any chance the Apex is generating interfering noise and confusing the UPLC?

Does it misbehave when plugged directly into an AC wall outlet?

Did you position the sensor tube about half-way into the water when you set the HI-LO levels?

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the reply. I don't think the Apex is causing interference. It was working just fine for months in the same exact setup (just in a different house).

I just pulled the UPLC out of my stand and tested on a normal plug and reprogrammed it is a glass of water. All of the LED lights give the proper readings during setup and it slowly flash a red RUN light saying that it operating correctly, but no matter what I do with the sensor tube, it never pumps any water. There is no indication that the pump is even trying to work (no sounds or vibrations).

It is really odd that when I first connected it at the new house, no matter where the sensor tube was it was pumping water. To stop it, I reprogrammed it and now no matter where the sensor tube is at, it will not pump water.

Gently suck and/or blow into the Sensor Tube.

Should I notice something when I do that or will I have to set it back up to see if it works after doing that?

I just want to see it do something to know if the pressure sensor is alive.

Okay, so with it setup, I should gently blow/suck into it to see if the pressure changes enough to make it work. I'll go test that.

I just tested it and nothing. No water being pumped, pump not running, and no green light flashing. The RUN light just flashes red.

I found the issue last night. I ended up opening the UPLC up and taking a look inside. The Sensor Tube was barely attached to the circuit board by a green/white wire. It came completely detached while I was gently looking to see how bad it was.
