Aquatic Life DX18 Fixture

Just got it and I’m looking for help programming it with the VDM on my Apex. Does anyone have a lighting program you can share? I want to ramp the T5s up and down. Your input is appreciated.

Still breaking in the T5 bulbs. Got them set up at 100% for 3 hours a day. Gonna slowly increase the photo period. Still need help with the programming. Send me a PM with your settings if you don’t mind.

You need the VDM if you want to dim them. I have one but will wait to set it up until the 50 hour break in period is complete for the ATI bulbs. I’ll post a picture this weekend.

Gotta say the illumination difference is outstanding. I ran two Radion XR15s alone for a while. Paired up with the T5s is night and day. My corals never looked so good and my anemone is loving it. Even the fish look 100% better.

If you have the Apex (full version) you don’t need the VDM to dim them. With the 0-10v cable they dim fine (just make sure to create 2 varspeed for the dashboard to control both channels.
The VDM will allow you to have more control over it (can see the dim percent instead of TBL On Fusion) but it’s not needed.

Yeah that 50hr break-in period is really a pain in the butt when you don’t have a separate fixture for it.

I’m using the VDM to control two other tunze pumps as well via the variable ports, still have one free. Do I need to hook up the lights thru the other variable portals well?
