Toadstool help - remove? Alive?

So we bought this 54 gallon corner from a guy a couple months ago. The toadstool was already on the live rock but since having it, it hasn't opened up or anything. We are currently treating the tank with Vibrant for an algae outbreak. It's looking a little worse for wear and I was curious what you guys thought about it. Do you think it's dead/dying? We have other corals in the tank that are thriving but this guy has had some problems from the start.
