When to transfer SPS.....
Hello folks!
Just set up a 180 aga as an upgrade from my 120. It is now fully cycled with most of the fish from the old tank is in and swimming happily! It’s been three weeks. Wanting to move all the corals soon but really unsure of when to do it. I used about 75% of the LR and about 20% of the water from the old tank to help with the cycle. So when should I move the corals, is the question. Thanks in advance.

Start with your cheapest or least desired LPS/softies first. Then eventually move in the rest of your LPS/softies. I think a week is good sign that your corals should be ok in the new setup. When your done with the LPS/softies repeat the same process for the SPS corals. Remember small changes can really save you in this hobby. GOOD LUCK!

Yeah, I have green star polyps in there now. They've been in there a couple weeks and look happy. I will soon put in there a piece of bird's nest and a red digi. See what happens. I am tempted to put a small SPS frag.

I just did this I went from a 60 gallon to a 120, I took my time filled the new tank with some water from old, then started slowly moving any live rock I had with no corals to new tank, waited a couple days did another water change from old to new, then I added some new fish to the new tank, another few days and I moved everything from old to new. I was nervous as my old tank I have had since 2009 was doing great. I also never had a cycle. It's been two weeks since I changed everything over and my corals which are all SPS have never looked better.
