Drip, drip, drip...

How's it going?

Drip drip drip is right, everything looks good so far, other than the ups guy dropping them off at the front desk without making an attempt at my apartment.

The latz are tiny, haven't gotten a real good look at them yet, I'll snap some pictures once I'm done acclimating.

Mine made it fine. Both pretty tiny but I did notice any glaring defects. I'll get a better look this evening when I get home from work.

Here are some pics, other than some nipped fins, they both look healthy. I think they stretched the word "bonded"

When I got home from work it is looking like my smaller one isn't going to make it. Bigger one looks perfect. I put them both in an acclimation box. Smaller ones mouth is pretty jacked up too.

My small one is a mess. Not expecting it to survive much longer. I put a call in to see if they have one available to replace it. They were going to give me half credit but that is pretty useless because I don't want a single. They are supposed to let me know shortly.

Snapped these on my way out, I'll take a closer look tonight when I get back. Due to the size and the opaque snout, it was kinda tough to see.

Larger one is perfect. I can't get a good pic but the smaller ones mouth but it is pretty crooked. He's barely moving now. I think he'll be gone in the next few hours. I'm hoping they will send me a single as a replacement because I have no interest in having a credit for one and then a single left. The supervisor said they are going to contact divers den to see if they have any more in quarantine.

Very nice. Good luck with them. I still haven't seen a single adult tank raised Latz. Very curious to see how they develop

Well it ended as I thought. Not a great fish day for me. I also had a choat's wrasse come in alive but barely. Was dead within 2 hours but was only live arrival guarantee. So far the seller has not responded to emails so I think I'm out of luck there.

Really hoping Divers den has another in Qt because I have no interest in having a single latz.

A little more pricey but BZA has some in stock if you need another single Latz

Yea. I'm going to wait to see what live aquaria does. Makes me nervous to get one without seeing a pic first.

So sorry about the little guy. Now is the time to make sure you get a smaller juvi or male since the bigger one will most likely turn female.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's always a pain when you get a pair of a hard to find species and one dies. The only upside about this with anemonefish is that sexing isn't really an issue. Pipefish and jawfish are so much more hassle...

At this size they are for sure not females. It's actually even doubtful if they are already functioning males.

Looks like it will turn out ok. Among the Reef is bringing in an order of latz produced by Karen next week so I'm going to grab one of those.

How much does he ask for them?

Are the ones DD sold also from Karen? The ones they sold before were from Australia, but this time they say they are USA captive bred and from the quality they could be Karen's.

Not sure on the exact price yet. Also not sure if the ones from DD were from Karen.

There's a diver in Australia with tons of Latz vids on YouTube.
