Exclamation Heater placement trouble.

I have the trigger systems crystal 30s sump and my friend gave me 2 EHEIM jager trutemp 250 watt heaters they are way bigger then i expected and they are nearly impossible to put anywhere in the sump except diagonally but the bottom of the heater touches the corner of the chamber will that be a problem?
Thanks for any advice ahead of time.

The heaters only get (dangerously) hot when exposed to air. The constant moving water absorbs all the enegery, vs letting it build up.

I have a 300W glass heater that sits in my plastic mixing tub, it gets warm to the touch when in the water, but never dangerously hot.

However, even after its turned off, it you pull it out, you could melt steel with it lol.

So just make sure it is constantly underwater.

Did it come with suction cups? You should keep it in the water column, even if horizontal, and not laying on the sandbed

Suction Cups

Unless you are against suction cups you can buy them at just about any pet store. That will make it much easier for you to keep them in the right area. You can also get plastic hooks that hang on the edge of your sump and set it on those

So as long as its underwater in a good flow area of the sump it doesnt matter if the end of the heater is touching the corner of the sump i have it suctioned cup now diagonally cause its to long for it to sit vertically or horizontally but it barely fits diagonally but the tip of the bottom of the heater is touching the corner

I have 2 250W Ebo Jagers sitting at an angle with the ends against the bottom/side of a Trigger Systems Emerald 32. Been a year. No issues.
