Gluing Pvc to Return Pump
I want to glue about 1ft of pvc to my return pump and then have a union so I can disconnect it and do maintenance. Will pvc glue work for attaching pvc to the return pump? If not what kind of glue should I use?

Depends on the material the pump is made of. Most are made of a plastic that would bond with pvc glue.

IME I you use a PVC to ABS or similar “universal” glue it should work just fine.

Lifeguard Quiet One 4000 (1022GPH).
Actually, I'm an idiot. It is threaded. I was looking at the adapter made to attach a hose to. I'll just buy a threaded pvc coupling and do it that way? I assume the threads on a pvc coupling would work with the threads on the pump? Thanks |

NPT or national pipe tapered is a standard thread irregardless of material.
