360 gallon tank upgrade
Hi ,
I currently have a 120 gallon tank and have been looking to upgrade. Plan was to look at a tank around 180ish gallons. However, I ran into this monster miracles tank with stand and sump that is completely brand new with a good price. Looks like I will have the space for it, and most of my equipment can be moved over including my light. I will have to add to the configuration. SHOULD I DO IT? PLEASE TELL ME WHY? Thanks

I really enjoy my 300 so Id say go for it. 48in might be a little much but it depends on the area its in.

Because of size, does it really take that much more time to maintain larger tanks?

The bigger the tank the more stable it will be.

just keep in mind 48 inches is wider than most standard door widths. You have to factor getting into where you want the tank to end up in your house.

Thanks. The height is 24”. It would have to go on it’s side to go through the doors.

Go for it. Bigger is better. More room for fish to swim and corals to grow.
And as stated, once established, it becomes more stable. Its not that much more work to clean. I did the same. had a 45G and was upgrading. was given a 120, then found a good deal on a 240 and sold the 120. As I ws preparing things for the 240, found a complete 400g system at a price I couldn't pass up. So I sold the 240 and picked up the 400. I don't regret the upgrade.

Thanks. Trying to work out how to move the 500 Lb tank to my basement. We will be doing a mock up using cardboard, with some movers.

After about 10 years of running in ng the tank, I decided to take a break and sold everything. The wife and I often talk about building another one. But with me getting back involved in off road racing, and with work and our play time, we are gone a lot. Maybe one day.
It was the center piece in our sun room. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
