Questions about BRS 1.1ml per minute doser for Triton

Hi guys, I'm planning to go Triton so I'm gonna need a good dosing pump for it so I was thinking to get 4 of those Bulk Reef Supply dosing pumps but I would like to hear your opinions first.

The reason why I was thinking about using this one instead of those with R/C Motors is because this one is supposed to be industrial type and also because the stepper based ones 1) you have to change your steppers very fast (they seems to die pretty fast) and 2) because are way too expensive.

I have 4 of the BRS dosing pumps and find that they are very good. I use a pair on my 120DT and another pair on my 60FT for dosing calcium and alkalinity. Match them up with digital lamp timers and you are good to go.

For how long have you been using those ones?

Are really that silent or do they get loud over time?

Yeah I was thinking to use a good timer with those pumps.

Very good pumps for the money. Only downside about running 4 pumps would be adding 4 additional timers on them or 4 outlets on an apex.

1 thing I have noticed from reviews is the pumps, including the 1 I have, pump more than the stated quantity.
Closer to 1.8 ml/min.
Not a big deal - just so you know.

Yeah, that's what I've been reading that they don't do 1.1 ml/min, each one you have to calibrate to find its real dosing amount, but what I would like to know is if after you find our the real dosing in your case 1.8ml/min that value do change over time or that value stays the same over months years?

Mine are actually about 1.7ml/min, and have stayed the same for the nearly 2 years I've had them going. When I replace the tubing sets I'll check them again just in case they have changed a little.

I can't hear mine at all, even if I crank the hearing aids to max. Of course, they run at night after I'm in bed. :-)

My pump runs @ 9 AM & I can hear a "hum" while running, but not loud@ all.
& it's only on for 10 minutes. I have not had it for any length of time though.
