Got it up and running, I’m going to get some spa hose from Lowe’s or menards and redo the counter current but I am very pleased with my purchase. Jeff was great!

Is anyone running the airline feed to the venture from outside of their house?
If yes, how is connected and what are you doing with the hole in the collection cup that normally feeds air from inside the cup? Thanks |

I have before and recommend using a t with 1 end connected to the cup and the other to the line outside with a ball valve on this line. This allowed me to bring in the most outside air possible while also bringing in enough moist air to keep the Venturi clear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just installed the 24 inch skimmer in my 40 breeder tank. It's a bit much to squeeze into the 20 long sump but it has a bigger home coming in the future.

Darn it just seeing this now! I just ordered a 4" extension for my SVS3-24 along with a Mazzei Venturi. I am pretty well convinced that I am not seeing the full potential of the Vectra M1 with the 24" skimmer and basic venturi model. It will be a fun experiment to see the difference once both are installed. I am expecting more air to be injected along with greater contact time in the extended skimmer body. |

Media Reactors -
For those of you using the Lifereef Media Reactors, what do you think of them? I got two originally with my sump back in 2004 and used them for a little while but found them difficult to empty and rinse and they seemed to clog quickly. Now, 15 years later, I'm thinking of going back to them to simplify my setup a bit and save some space. I've been using the double BRS reactor. Mickey |

Hi. New here. I have an SV 24 in sump skimmer in 8" of water with a mag 12 pump. My problem is my skimmer was running great skimmate just a little wet. Then started producing lots of bubbles. The body of the skimmer is full of bubbles all the way to the bottom. I have opened the gate valve all the way open still all bubbles. What is going on ??

A photo of the body of the skimmer might help as well. |
