Great idea!
Might try this with an old iPad.

Question, once you start the browser, log into Fusion, how does the page
auto-refresh?

The data on the page refreshes on its own.

Video for camera doesn't work on fire I bought after seeing video. Any suggestions? Doesn't work on the original browser on the fire or on dolphin.

I've been playing with the 7" Fire tablet for the last few days and have run in to some issues with the Dolphin browser crashing but also figured out the fix. Not sure if anybody else has experienced the crashes with Fusion or not.

I have sleep mode disable via the Dev settings option in the Fire settings menu. I also have full screen enabled in Dolphin. I have a web cam connected to Fusion and found that Dolphin will not display the mjpeg stream. At least I haven't been able to get my Cisco cam to display in Fusion. The web cam seems to force the Dolphin browser to refresh the screen every minute or so. After about 5 minutes the browser crashes. Whether it's directly due to the web cam being embedded in the Fusion page I am not sure but I did figure out a solution to the crashe.

To remedy the crashes, in the settings screen of Dolphin, I've had to select "No Image" and also select "Desktop Mode". With those two settings, the Dolphin crashes subside. I've tried No Image with both desktop mode enabled and disabled and it still crashes. I've tried no Image in both Desktop Mode and Stanard mode and when not in Desktop mode, it will crash so based on my findings, No Image needs to be selected in addition to Desktop Mode.

My webcam (Cisco WCV 210) works fine in Fusion using the Silk Browser that comes with the Fire 7". The webcam doesn't show up in Dolphin though. Try switching to desktop mode in Silk.

Full Screen option is available in Silk. Or at least it is now on my Fire 7".

I was just playing around with Silk and was able to enable full screen mode! I didn't see that option previously. Not sure if there was an update or if this is something we overlooked. In Silk, next to the address bar, tap the three vertical dots and there is an option to "Enter Full Screen".

The advantage for me to Silk is is shows my webcam where as Dolphin doesn't. I will leave Silk running and see if it crashes.

Just do the sleep disable as noted in the video. Then open up Dolphin and enable full screen. That's all I needed to do. At least with the latest OS on my Fire. You may or may not need to enable desktop mode. I don't need desktop mode enabled now but I played around with Silk for a while before I saw the full screen option.

Neptune system added the calendar with reminder function but the reminder appear on the dashboard as a number but the controller name button is over lapping on top of the reminder button for the tablet screen . Kinda of stupid

I didn't change any settings in Silk. Like I said, you can try with or without desktop mode enabled. That is the only silk setting besides enabling full screen in the Silk Settings page that I even played with. If you aren't
seeing the full screen option in settings, that would leave me to wonder if the install of the Dolphin browser adds some function to the tablets OS that enables full screen on Silk. i also back door installed Google Chrome but that didn't work well at all so I deleted it. I'd be half tempted to restore the tablet back to factory defaults and mess around some more but I would prefer not to at this point since it's working as it sits right now.

Have you looked for the fulls screen option in silk yet? If you did and didn't see that in the silk settings tab, are you running the latest Fire update?

I couldn't find the full screen option and when I researched it everyone said they had taken it out and were upset. Maybe they added it back in recently. Anyways, there will be some way with some browser to make a nice screen for your Apex for under $50.

Pretty cool. Fire ordered. BTW, why does one need to show the webcam? Surely the screen is located at the tank. Just look down, or up,

Fusion is set up to show the web cam so the tank can be viewed from a remote location. If you turn it off so it's not on at the tank, it will be off everywhere you log in.

Works like a charm. Excellent idea, thanks Terrence. FWIW, I could not get full screen on silk.

I thought I would share this here since I just got around to mounting my fire tablet.

I've been working on some surface and flush mounts for these Fire tablets for a while now and figured it was time to mount this thing up. I moved the original Apex display to the shed where my holding tank and calcium reactor are located and changed the pH probe display on it to reflect the calcium reactor in the shed.

This is how the Apex display was mounted up until today before being moved to the shed..

The 7" Fire tablet mounted in the new surface mount where the Apex display used to be. I figured I would surface mount it rather than flush mount it for the moment. That will allow me to use the fire tablet daily to make sure I like it here before making permanent changes to my wall. The surface mount screwed right to the wall through the opening where the Apex display was flush mounted.

Key information shown on the display as well as quick access to my feed buttons. For the record, this is the native Silk browser in full screen. No need for Dolphin.

Here is the Apex display mounted in the shed giving me a quick view of the calcium reactor pH when I'm in there.

Cool to see someone thought of this already. Same idea I had for my new tank. I will be doing it once I grab a 2016 apex.

I got my fire tablet working on my old Apex. It took a bit of fiddling to install the dolphin browser and the touch control on the dashboard is weird. Nice to have the control right there on the canopy. I used those velcro sticky things and it's holding well.
