FS Huge Ponape Birdsnest Coral Colony

For sale a huge show size Ponape Birdsnest Coral Colony.

It is about 8 inches long and 6 inches width. So is a very big colony.

I prefer to sell the whole colony in one piece.

Same as the one in LiveAquaria 1-2inch frag at $55:

Pictures are taken with iPhone and doesn't reflect the beauty of the colony.

Care Level: moderate
Color: Green - Purple
Lighting: High (currently with T5s)
Waterflow: Medium to Strong
Placement: Middle to Top

The ORAź Aquacultured Ponape Birdsnest coral is a beautiful species that grows very thin intertwining branches giving its name. This light green, pink tipped coral is bumpy in appearance because of the pronounced corallites. The polyps are small and are not particularly noticeable. This is a relatively fast growing species, and because of its delicate branches, care should be taken in the placement of the coral in order to protect it from physical damage.

They will thrive in a variety of lighting conditions, ranging from power compacts, T-5s, powerful LEDs and up to the more intense metal halides. Birdsnest Corals satisfy the majority of their nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body. While it may not require additional food to maintain its health in the reef aquarium, the Ponape Birdsnest will feed on micro-plankton or foods designed for filter-feeding invertebrates.

The ORA Aquacultured Ponape Birdsnest coral is attached to a plastic plug and can be easily placed in holes or between the rockwork of the reef aquarium.
