Thanks! And cool Mini in your avatar, it is waaay faster than mine I think!
Thanks, most non-reef-visitors think the angler is cooler than the whole reef |

You have a good memory! It actually got so big, that it kind of obstructed the aquascape. It is in another tank now but of course I kept a few frags to start again
It did hurt a bit to remove it as I had it for about 10 years, but the tank looks way more open now... |

This has been one of my favorite tanks and was my inspiration in changing from 250 watt HQI's to 150 watt HQI's. Though I have gone back and forth between the two over the years, I have stayed with the 150's on my current tank. I know the tank has undergone some changes in equipment over the years, but one thing has remained, excellent husbandry and the proper selection of equipment. Thank You for being one of those people who inspired me and still does.
For those that do not know this is a past TOTM, here it is. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-02/totm/index.php

Is your orange spot file fish well behaved? Ive always wantwd one really bad but I always thought they were not reef safe. Btw you have an amazingly gorgeous reef. |

Jack: thank you! I really liked the 150 W's. I did 'upgrade' to 250 W's a few years ago, but apart from more algae and more heat that didn't change a lot. The leds are a different story though, I will never switch back! It's always nice to read about other tanks, many times you will get ideas for improvements, often small but leading to large changes. Thanks for mentioning the TOTM, it came as a huge surprise, I still don't know who nominated me. It was a real honour to have my previous tank been featured in the past. Of course I keep my tank for my own enjoyment, but it was a true honour to me to see that others chose my pride to be featured.
Saltwatersensei: the filefish isn't well behaved at all, it continuely grazes on the corals but as the growth isn't stunted that is ok to me. Of course the size and health of the coral population determines if the tank can support such a fish. As long as the corals don't suffer I don't mind fish being not completely reef safe. Today I made a 20% water change and took some pictures while the water was flowing. |

Thanks! I took a picture for you, if you mean the one in the picture below you're not the first to ask. I've never seen any tentacles during the day, but during the night they are expanded. I have it more than three years and it does grow. I do have more Fungias in my tank, this is the only one with this behaviour and I do like this variation.

Just took a small video today. Unfortunately there are some scratches on the lens of my camera, so the video isn't as clear as it should be... Sorry for that.
Hope you enjoy it though |

Your tank is absolutely stunning, Tanu!
Would you mind sharing with me how well behaved your orangspot filefish is with all of you SPS corals, acros especially, in the tank?
