Bean Anaimal & Tee'd Return
I am taking into consideration return lines and water flow.
I am pondering on teeing off the return line to get turbulence flow in the middle of the tank and to conceal the putlets UNDER the overflow box i installed. here is a pic of my concept to conceal the return lines and to create multidimensional random turbulent currents Is this a problem teeing off the return lines to 2 separate output right before the output ? GPH loss? |

You will increase the friction loss (thus reduce the pump output/flow rate) by teeing the return line, like driving the water into a brick wall. It multiple return lines do not accomplish much in the first place, but either way, you will still need power heads to keep the tank well mixed.
Also having the return(s) so low in the tank, will increase your power out drain down. Return outlets should be kept within an inch of the water surface. By the looks of it, you installed a very small overflow box. Custom systems generally have longer overflow boxes, ideally the full length of the back of the tank. One of the big problems with reef ready tanks is the small overflows.

LOL i'm an idiot!!! i forgot about the return siphon issue on the return pipes!!! the overflow is actually half the tank width. i just sketched it that small LOL Thanks!!!!! |
