Have some unhappy corals not sure why

As the title says. Params seem to be OK

PH 8.1
Alk 7
Ca 460
Sg 1.025
Temp 79.4
Nitrate 2
Ammonia 0

Things have been great but the past couple of days some seem irritated

PWC about a week ago.

Xenix is clamped... These are usually looking really nice

These guys are clamped a lot as well. Has been growing well. The open cluster in the upper right is all new in the past few weeks.

Any ideas. No changes in lighting or anything. Lights max at 30% for 3 hrs midday.I feed the anemones a bit of clams weekly but short of that nothing else is added to the tank water

Weird... They, the Xenia's, are looking much better this morning. I will give it a few hours and see where the rest are.

i honestly wouldnt be concerned about soft corals like xenia simply because pretty soon they will multiply so much you'll have to cut them back to prevent it from over taking your tank. They can take a beating. Your alk is low. 8-9 is preferable. I can only assume your magnesium is deficient as well.

Having Ca, alk and Mag all in line = healthy corals

Temp 79.4
Nitrate 2
Ammonia 0

Wow your mag is way too high. Are you trying to kill off byropsis? 1280-1400 is realistically where you should be

I was having issues with my corals. But I found out that my LED lights from Ebay were way to intense!
How is your lighting?

OK retested the Mg and got 1380ppm this time... must have botched the last one.

The lighting is on a 12 hour cycle and tops out at 30% intensity midday. I am running them pretty much 50/50 ch1 and ch2. I do have some brown and green algae (hair or slime i suspect) in places but not bad. Phosphates are zero.

Tank as a whole... I had to under expose the image a bit for better contrast. The darkest coloration on the rocks is the brown algae albeit it is actually about a little lighter that the lighter areas on the rock. Underexposing it allowe a decent view of the sand which has some light areas of diatoms.

You need a One Spot or Foxface Lo to clean up for you.

Your phosphate is zero because you have algae using it all up.

Run GFO to choke out the phosphate, or fish like a fox face are great at cleaning up algae
