Marine Betta tankmates that wont be eaten

Info on marine bettas say they will eat smaller tankmates. In the past I have kept them with fish clearly too big to eat. But I was wondering what the largest tankmate a marine betta has eaten that anyone is aware of.

Unless your marine betta is used to eat feeder fish marine betta would not eat smaller fishes.

I have one for 7 years and never eat any small fish like neon goby and rainford goby.
I added a second one last year so now as a pair neither would attack any small fish...

Totally agree! Kept one for 6 years sold it along with office tank. Kept with different shrimp, and smaller fish like flasher wrasse and never bothered. Only problem with marine betta is that you hardly ever see them cause they're always hiding.

Good, the fish you mentioned were around the size I was concerned about. I had a blue devil plesiops that wouldnt eat small fish either and I figured the marine betta would be similar, but figured I would throw it out there to see if anyone's experiences were different.

Thanks.

I have a 6" Marine betta and leaves all my fairy wrasses alone and he is out most of the time, he barely hides.

I have one, I had it since it was the size of a finger nail. Its an ORA tank bred Betta and is now about 5 or 6". I have it w strictly small fish including a neon goby, a clown goby and a twin spot goby, along w 2 cleaner shrimps and Gold banded shrimp. He has never eaten any fish. The drawback is it really is always hiding! Its a shame, cuz even w all my wrasses, its the most Beautiful fish when it comes out... too bad they're so few and far between.
