New to Acros

I am moving my 90 gallon mixed up through the coral difficulty scale by removing some of the Soft corals and introducing 2 acropora colonies. Do all acropora begin in a new tank as browned and then transition to color? One colony was brown when I got it 3 months ago but has full polyp extension new growth and encrusting and some areas of fluorescent green. The other colony is 3 weeks old, was blue with yellow polyps at the LFS but is now Brown and polyps are not coming out. I have been ramping up my 2xRadion 30w 3 and I am at 75% for 3 hours. Ca-425 mg-1600 Alk-8.15 No3-0 PO4-0.05. I have read lights and nutrients cause browning but my tests show me acceptable for nutrient so does acropora color take time?

Stress can cause browning too.

Green is the first color after brown, so that is good. They just take time.

Colonies are hard. Frags are easier. Don't be too hard on yourself if you struggle with colonies... a lot of people do.
