Thanks.

I learned a lot with this experience even though it never did exceptionally well for any extended period of time, I did have some good moments. By the time my tank crashed I had decent sized pieces, even though the colors weren't anything to brag about, getting your 1" frags to good sized colonies is still a great accomplishment to have.

I'll be back in the SPS game eventually, but for now I'm going to focus on work and school.

Man, that's a bummer to read! I'm really sorry to hear all of that Josh! I'm sure your future endeavour will be much more successful and please do post the link to the new thread so I can be a pest and admire your work there as well!

Thanks you guys. I'll be sure to post the link when I get things going, just got a small shipment in and I should be getting some more stuff in soon.

Josh, really sorry to hear this.

It's not like I'm trying to force you back into SPS or anything but if you drive up here you can have a frag of any coral you want. Just saying. I don't ship, but would like some of my pieces to find a good home.

Oh man, that's so tempting, and an awesome gesture, but I think for now I need to decline. Maybe if things are looking up in 6 months and I feel good about it I might hit you up on a small frag pack. I'm working my way through college so I don't know if I want to add the stress now that I'm free. I highly considered just taking a break, but giving up altogether just isn't something I can do after having some form of a reef for almost six years now.

Thank you for the offer, I do appreciate it.

I have a 10 gallon SPS-only, fishless tank that has been super low maintenance, except for keeping an eye on alkalinity. With a simple controller, I go many days without checking the tank. Check out this thread for someone else who did it: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2555250

Getting out of SPS isn't about maintenance for me, more so about the stress involved. Thanks though.

For those interested in seeing the continuation of my tank, here's the link to my new thread.

How long does it take a small frag to become a colony
