Thanks! I can't wait to see what the frags develop into under T5 versus my brothers LED fixtures.

You'll force your brother to switch to T5, or at least hybrid.

Before he decided to take a break from the hobby he was going to go T5 himself, but right now I'm the only thing keeping him from selling out completely.... a good deal of my livestock is sitting in his tank, he's sold all of his. He has travel plans that he wants pursue and not have to worry about a fish tank. He also faced a lot of adversity earlier this year dealing with a chaotic mess from a tank crash when he had an anemone dominated tank. I truly think that wore him out since treating expert level anemones on a large scale like that is a lot of maintenance, and them getting reinfected because the tank never fully bounced back kept him doing a few hours of work every day for about a month or so before he just gave up. By the time things started to get better he burnt himself out, so hopefully he'll be back in a couple of years when he'll be in a better situation.

Stand progress so far, still need to finish painting and poly. I'm going to do a two-tone inside of the stand with a different color. I'm thinking something along the lines of a sea green/aqua color, but not too bright and in your face. I'm not done with the doors yet, I still need to sand some and stain them, they will be stained grey.

Light is hung

Skimmer came in today

That's it for now, lots left to do... Thanks for reading.

Excellent equipment choices! I love my mp40s and t5s. Looks like you had some nice corals to take frags from. Looking forward to seeing this all come together

+1

I think you're going to like that skimmer, I've had both the Co-2 and Co-1 and have not been disappointed.

You have some amazing looking colonies

Thanks you! I chose the CO-2 because of all of the reviews I kept reading about it, it seems like a really popular skimmer. The colonies were my brothers, I just snipped a frag from each to grow out and color up. It will be interesting to see what they look like 6 months from now.

TEASER

My sump came in! I ended up going with the Tideline 36 by Trigger Systems. I didn't know about this sump until like a week ago and when I did I knew that was the sump for me. Thanks to Fragtastic Reef I was able to order one of these beauties and they shipped it to me in perfect condition, I couldn't be happier!

I will take another photo of it later, enjoy.

I'm pretty happy with it, I can't lie. It was more than I wanted to spend but I keep telling myself it's worth it.

Love those shots of perfectly clean and glowing set ups before water and algae and fish poo mess everything up!
Nice sump!

Thanks you guys, really appreciate it.

Not much to update yet, waiting on a shipment from BRS to get some more work done. If things go as planned I should be filling the tank up next Monday.

Considering the tank should already be wet, this is kind of a small update. Forgive me.

Another toy, not sure what I'm going to do with it other than a few basic things. I don't want my system reliant on one piece of gear so it's more of a novelty than a necessity I suppose. Nevertheless, hopefully I'll get things switched over next week.
