API High Range pH test kit
Which would be more precise a pinpoint PH probe calibrated on a apex system or a $10 API Test kit? The reason I ask is after several calibrations my PH Probe reads 8.14 and the API high range reads 8.40 each time. Should I rely on the pinpoint readings?

8.4 seems high unless you are doing something purposefully to raise ph...there is a lot of interpretation involved with viewing the color on the api...also viewing from different types of light and angle of the light etc.
