DI stage from a RO unit as a kalk stirrer?
Just wondering if anyone has tried this. Obviously It won't stir but I was thinking I could replace the DI resin with calcium hydroxide. I have several of them just laying around.

I setup that exact thing about 2 months ago. I have the line about 40 percent water into the ro unit with the calc and the rest bypass the unit right into my topoff in my stump. I'm going to get slammed for this but I have not measured calcium or ph so I am not sure the change.

I actually took a DI cartridge and modified it so I could fill it with calk without to much resistance and still feed from the bottom.

Maybe Google " ro as kalk reactor". It was the first result for me and the title on the thread starts as $40 DIY Kalkwasser reactor....
