For 10 bulbs I love two combos:
a) more crispy white, best for good growth
6pcs Crystal Blue
2pcs Spectra+
2pcs Shallow Water

when your tank looks like forest ;-) you can go with following combo for good pigmentation and strong contrast
b) 7pcs Crystal Blue
2pcs Spectra+
1pcs Pigment INT

also very nice is only blueigment INT combo - 8pcs Crystal Blue, 2pcs(as tube #2 and #9 ) Pigment INT.
Corals grow little slower but colors are really amazing!

Regards

interesting

you only recommend 2 white bulbs . white i mean spectra, Coral + or KZ Gen -2
I use 4 KZ Gen -2 and i feel i am missing some colors, maybe time to change

I typically balance the white and blue tubes out then fill in with pink/purple tubes. So for 10 bulbs - 4 blue / 4 white / 2 purple tubes. Gives a nice crsip look with a hint of blue, shows off the coral colours to my eyes

Jaymack, yes I did, Mario is the most incredible person to deal with. I take it you were the other person that he ordered one for? He had mentioned someone else he ordered a light for.

5 pcs Blue(like Crystal Blue PS, Blue Plus ATI etc)
2pcs Spectra+(or Coral+)
1pcs Shallow Water/Aquablue Special or Pigment INT/ATI Purple Plus(however Pigment INT is less pink and for me looks better)
I'm sure that you will like it

Agreed. It was a long wait! Is your light up and running, and how does it look? Mario gave me the light combo for yours, if you can post some pics, I'd like to see how your combo looks. Thanks

Hi!
Using only two white tubes make tank looking more "contrast" - I feel personally that corals grow little slower but overall corals looks more "saturated".
You need to check it out - I think that you will like it, it bring some colors back, however I feel that corals grow little slower(probably due less amount of symbiotic algae in corals tissue - however it make them more colored again ;-)

Regards

My biggest concern using 2 white bulbs is even spread throughout the tank.My tank is z72x34x24 and i feel that my SPS wouldnt get enough white spectrum

Pasific sun Diuna t5 users

Here is my combo on my 10x54w over my 60x36x24.

Front

ATI Blue+
KZ Fiji Purple
ATI Coral+
ATI Blue+
ATI Blue+
Giesemann Tropic
ATI Blue+
ATI Coral+
KZ Fiji Purple
ATI Blue+

Back

The iPhone makes the tank look more purple than it is but the colors really pop with this combo! I feel with this many bulbs you should definitely try a 6500K bulb (Tropic). It adds a different dimension the other bulbs I think lack. Excuse the tank pic, I've been recovering from some issues and I am pretty coral light right now

For comparison. This picture was just hours earlier under 2 x 400w Radiums, 2 blue+, and 2 actinic.

I think with 2 Purple and 2 C+ you adding too much of a red spectrum to your tank . JMO
But I guess its a matter of taste .

Mshur, very nice bulb combination. Is that the same combo as you stated in you earlier post? I love the way your colors are just popping. Very nice choice!

Quick question for everyone. Does anyone else have a Diuna on a Neptune Apex? Preferably the new apex with the EB832. I am seeing extremely low power draw compared to the specifications and what it SHOULD be pulling. This has also been confirmed with a Fluke True-RMS Clamp meter.

Voltage is approximately 112v. Here is what it is pulling at full power all bulbs on:

3.5 Amps
~400 Watts

I would expect to see roughly 550w...

Any ideas? Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks!

Don

Very true, they are a bit more, but everyone that uses them seems to like their output and life span
