Saw one in the flesh today. Saw the price.

No pics. I'm old school. I keep forgetting I have a camera with me at all times Looked exactly like the picture from live aquaria below. It was about 3" and appeared to be very healthy.

Where did you see it? At a LFS? How much were they asking? Apparently they are very hard to get right now because they shut down fishing at the island where they usually catch them. Whenever DD used to get them they would list them for around $599, but a few weeks ago, they jacked the price up to $799. It was on there for several weeks, which is unusual for DD fish, but finally sold when they had the 25% off coupon.

Yup, at an lfs. Was $699 Canadian, so an absolute steal. Looked very healthy, though apparently these fish are relatively easy to keep.

Canadian on top of it?! I'm in Canada and never saw one! You're so lucky!

Coral reef shop in Burlington. Yours to be had for a steal.

I do feel lucky to have been able to see it in person. It really is a stunner.

I've only ever seen one at the New England Aquarium and that was years ago. Definitely a lot prettier in person than in pics.

I'm in Montreal unfortunately, although I still wouldn't feel comfortable spending that much on a fish! Maybe one day...
