How do I fix my maxspect razor LED
Coralvue hasn't been stocking the replacement pads for the maxspect razor units now for over a year. How in the world do I replace my bad pads? They still sell these units new but don't support many replacement parts wonder why?

Does anyone know if its possible to bypass the burned out LED that has caused a open in the circuit? If I can short that diode the good LEDs should light up again. The problem I saw is the PCB bottom of the pad is covered with heat sink material is there a way to short the open diode from the top?

If maxspect doesn't show better business practices by supplying replacement parts for the products they sell I'm switching to another company. You are proof they have stock and what "Mcgyvr" commented on, "psst.. they want you to buy a new one.." is only good reason to go with another company. |

If I was to spend that much for multiple units I rather spend it on Kessil's $850 AP700 unit at least it has 48" coverage and a better warranty with longer term access to parts. |

Just prepped my razor for the new pads. Moved the last good pad to the center and bypassed the blue channel on the other pads so at least I have a little sunrise and sunset effects. Going to take a week to receive new pads from Canada.
For those who have a maxspect razor when the dual LEDs burnout IME you have a short time before the entire channel (opens) dies. Next time this happens I'll have the pads on hand no waiting. |

Installed my two new LED 15k pads couple days ago. They look great especially with the included 120 reflectors. Glad I got it all working again for under $140 bucks. Didn't take long at all to install them did "blush" use some pieces of bubble gum to hold the wires in place while reinserting the fans, reflectors and brace clips.

Coral vu emailed me said they just restock the pads. But the Canada seller was a better deal with the 120 reflectors included.

And is that USD? since the site is Canadian. I just checked, 2 pads + shipping to US is $130.85CAD or approx. $108.85USD Last edited by d0ughb0y; 10/12/2017 at 11:24 AM. |

thanks for the clarification.
so website prices are indeed in CAD. I had a typo in my conversion, it should be $135.85CAD, not $130.85CAD. how long did it take to get to Phoenix? As an aside, the shipping seems very reasonable. In the past, every time I check something from Canadian website, the shipping price to US always costs an arm and a leg. |

That's why I could never buy anything from Canada. It's like either the seller makes more money on shipping (it was not uncommon for items I check for shipping to cost more than twice the item price, and yes it is for small items) or Canada Post is just really expensive. Granted the last time I tried to buy anything from Canada was maybe more than five years ago. So it may be different/better now. FWIW, most US sellers like Marine Depot and BRS, now do free shipping. |

Canada post does not lose and makes money on ther shipping rates so they are expensive. My business is based on shipping items everyday, shipping from Canada is the most expensive shipping rates anywhere as far as I've been told. |

Maxspect 15K LED pads are always available directly from Coralvue in US.
http://www.coralvue.com/maxspect-razor-15000k-led-pad By the way, the retail price for these pads are $60 US. |
