New Leather Coral Starting?
I bought a new leather coral and while I was getting it, there were two of them on the same piece of rock. The store took off one of them to keep it. About a week later I noticed an interesting growth on the rock that came with the coral. Could it be some remains of the removed leather or is it something else starting there? See attached image.

It's not a leather coral, I believe it might be colonial tunicates.

Belated thank you for your answer. I believe you are correct. I compared the actual thing to several posted tunicates and they matched.
