Any advice on keeping sebae anemone?
I have had success with ritteri and haddoni and have read extensively on them. Ordered a blue tip sebae (crispa, I believe). Just wanting pics or success stories and placement ideas for lighting, flow, etc. Will post pics when it arrives.

I'm not really fond of the ID sebae, as there are 2 types of sebae, and they are dramatically different in needs, size, colors.
I would guess though, purple/blue tip would most likely be a crispa, foot in sand at base of rock, loves lots of light, pretty good flow, gets very big and will reach high for light. Malu on the other hand, total sand dwellar, medium light and flow, stays low at bottom usually, much smaller(8-10" as opposed to 24") and can come in very bright colors. I don't think either are really difficult to keep as long as healthy and given proper conditions.

Been in tank about 6 hours. It was supposed to be white with blue tips. You can't see it as good in the pics but it looks yellowish with blue tips. Definitely looks yellow in natural lighting. I hope it's yellow

The pics you see online of yellow crispas have been dyed. It will turn tan w/ blue tips once it regains its zoax.

^^ Agree, w/ crispa, there are yellow Malu's, but I don't think there are Malu's w/ just purple or blue tips.
Mysis will help it regain health and proper color.

Thanks guys, just not as familiar with these. Makes sense for the bleached tan to have yellow tint. I'd be happy with one that's tan and blue tips.
Any other neat, out of the ordinary anemones that you guys suggest checking out? I thought about a purple crispa. Just wanting something different that doesn't break the bank. I have mags and a haddoni. Gigs are impossible for me I guess and make me hate life while trying to keep one alive through treatment, so I've given up on that dream.

Sebae went wondering and won't attach. I've tried multiple things with no luck. At this point he'll stay in a spot for a little while and then tumble away. Stays inflated and mouth closed but just won't pick a spot, any ideas?

I managed to wedge mine between the sand and LR in a spot I would like it. So far it hasn’t moved and seems to be really happy there.

Sadly mine ended badly. Going to try a purple one next week. I've prepared what I think would be an ideal spot but we shall see.
