bmw_zoan, thanks! It isn't that I don't like them, I think a mature grown in SPS tank can be a beautiful thing but SPS don't like my tank. I do however like to see all the movement in the current of the softies and the LPS. The Niger is one of our favorite fish. But really all of the triggers have great personalities, the pink tail and blue jaw are really cool fish.

I was just saying because some sps in the middle and near the top since its sort of empty would make the tank look amazing

bmw, there was a really nice orange cap on the left side up top and in the middle a yellow scroll coral. You can still see the skeletons of them, there is a bit of live tissue left on them and I am going to wait to see if they grow back. I have no luck at all with any kind of acro or any other sps. Believe me I have tried them. The tank does look kind of empty but remember it is 96L x 30W x 25T it takes a lot of stuff to fill up that space. I also like to give the fish the open long swiming space up top. I didn't want the tank to be full to the top like a wall. Believe it or not there is over four hundred pounds of rock in there.

Pedro, you are to nice. Thanks! It has a long way to go to look that nice.

Welcome to Reef Central and STARS!
Looking like a good start so far. Tell us a little about your system. It's nice to see you found us.

Well lets see.... The tank is a DIY custom acrylic ~100g (48x20x24). my flow is pathetic, which I will be remedying with new tank. Here are some more things about my tank listed out:

Livestock -
2 percs doing very good
1 firefish
1 green spotted mandarin
1 GBTA
Large green torch coral
some zoas and mushrooms
Duncan (which is growing like a weed)...bought it with one head, 2 weeks later has like 5
couple plate corals
leather toadstool coral
2 head candycane
lots of different snails, emerald crab, and hermit crabs

Equipment -
Return pump: HY-7000 Water balster
Skimmer: Super Reef Octopus XP-2000
Lights: DIY 48 cree/meanwell fixture; custom fixture
Sump: 20 gallon w/ refugium
Overflow: Beananimal silent overflow
RO/DI: Bulkreefsupply 4 stage 75 gpd
Dosing: alk and Calc - ~20 ml day (not very good at staying on schedule...getting apex)

Now to my new system:

I took my time making this tank...3 hours of sanding every edge to 1200 grit to make crystal clear welding on the edges. Out of tank overflow (so much better). My flow will consist of a reeflo dart and a hammerhead split to power 8 outlets. Upgrading to a 96 Cree/meanwell DIY LED. Custom metal stand with magnetic attached wooden doors. Here is a pic of the tank....ill be sure to do a thread on its build (don't want to hijack this one)
