Coral snow and clams

I have a beautiful maxima clam and I was thinking of using some coral snow in my tank to get ahead of a small vermetid snail population befor it starts growing but I have some conserns if the coral snow is safe for my clam. I’m afraid it could clog it’s gills like target feeding. Should I be conserned?
