Vaguely Aquarium Related Hole Saw Question
Can you drill holes in a ceramic pot with a glass hole saw?

Yes. Unglazed will go really fast, glazing is just glass on top (much slower but its thin). Same with tile, brick, porcelain...

Diamond coated cutting tools will pretty much go through anything. They're perfect for hard, brittle materials like glass, ceramic, clay, porcelain, etc. Ceramic will cut like butter, it's probably the easiest of the bunch. Don't push or you may shatter the piece. I also use diamond tools on plastic, as long as you don't push and melt the material it works awesome. For instance, drilling holes for uniseals in Brute trashcans - I use the same diamond hole saws I use on glass.
